Alexa Bitsko Editorial

So, you’ve got a completed manuscript. Whether it’s about werewolves, a small-town love story, a dramatic slow-burn, or a total smutty romp, you’re ready to give your readers exactly what they’re after, in all its delicious glory. You’ve put your blood, sweat, tears, and endless cups of coffee into this gorgeous book that you want to get on bookshelves and Kindles everywhere. You’ve already got drafts of emails to send to publishers for queries, or a listing up on Amazon. As an author, your job is totally done, right?

Well, not so much.

But don’t freak out, I promise a good chunk of your hard work is done. That’s where I come in! You need to get your manuscript looking pretty and clean it up from those draining all-nighters you pulled just to get the darn thing finished. You want characters that are real and grounded in a world that consumes your readers, and you want spicy scenes that are realistic and engaging while still being more helpful than harmful in their portrayal of alternative relationships. You’ve got an amazing story, and it deserves some recognition! That being said, publishers and agents get tons of manuscripts daily, and Amazon lists of Steamy Romance is getting flooded. I’ll also be honest with you here, a lot of them are kind of crappy. Why?

The authors haven’t taken the time to find a proper editor for their book.

With a manuscript (along with edited submission documents like a query letter and author bio) that has been primed by a good editor, you’re going to be a lot more pleasing to the publishing eye, and agents will have a better chance of finding someone to pick up your book. What you need is an editor who is knowledgeable in the field, highly skilled at the job, and experienced in the communities you’re writing for.

It’s nice to meet you, I’m Alexa. Let’s make your book a bestseller, shall we?
